    I should mention, I'm sure you already know: Make sure you slip that bakelite cover over the wires -before- you start tying knots and such. I've had to take these things apart so many times because I forgot that thing...

    you can get the cords that have a new plug on it from e-bay. you only have to put it on the presser foot. This is what I did with my 301 and it works great

    I bought an older machine like the 15-91. you need to check the motor wiring. I had to rewire the whole thing.
