newhome 673 parts?

Welcome. Most Japanese machines are pretty decent machines. It totally is your call. Have you seen Bought a New Home Janome 673 with issues, need some advice ? Unfortunately, most of those that replied and the thread starter have not been on Quilting Board for several years.
We like pictures. In order to post pictures on Quilting Board, you will probably need to reduce or compress the picture to a file size that is smaller than 2MB. How to post images can be found at https://www.quiltingboard.com/attach...020-01-17-.pdf
Don't forget to scroll over to the far right to find and click on the "Upload" button.
I have found that only the big red "Reply" button or "Quote" work to give me the paper clip icon to work for adding pictures.

Some additional info regarding reducing images at post #4 and images for the scroll and upload button can be found at #5 of quilt block ID?

yea I saw that post its part of what made me think getting it 3d printed maybe the only way to fix it. If i do so well also have a patter to 3d print more. Part of the price is the making of the pattern as i don't think i can make a 3d patter to just print off.
Thank you i was going to add images but it only showed with links and I wasn't sure where to do so.

Do you have a source that will custom 3D print parts? If so please tell me. I just broke one of the zig zag pieces for a DialnSew likely 60s era machine, and without an appropriate donor machine it will become a boat anchor.

I want to suggest another option to try fixing the gear, 2 part epoxy. Someone gave to me a DialnSew ZZ machine, it was quite stuck up top, and while trying to loosen things up I broke one of the cast metal pieces which controls the ZZ function. I used a single use Loc Tite product which cost $2.75. I used brake cleaner to degrease the part first and also used some thin metal wire to reinforce the spots where I used the epoxy. After allowing it to cure and removing some of the excess, I put the machine back together yesterday and ran it, and the part didn't break...yet. I have to get it all together and oiled up before thread testing, we'll see.
The epoxy is oil resistant, which was a plus, and a cheap fix without which I'd have a parts machine because the broken part is practically speaking irreplaceable.
