I may be uneducated but even I can tell this would be a valuable machine!
I guess since it's not shiny and pretty with decals someone decided it was "boat anchor" material and made what they thought was a wise use of a piece of junk.
At the auction I got my Singer treadle there was a 40's Singer in a nice cabinet and the "gentlemen" I was sitting next too shouted out that it was a boat anchor and to move on with the auction. I wish I could have found a spot for it in my home but I had to let someone take it away for $10.

Oh Noooo! That's just wrong. On the other hand, I did find the perfect table for my entry way from one of those places made from part of a trashed treadle - it was cheap, $40, made from some unknown leg irons of a treadle and a beautiful wood top. I now holds my Singer 15 Gingerbread. I did find out that it was from the leg irons of the treadle cabinet that matched my Minnesota B, that I was given for free to put "in my garden".
