Mom3 you are very lucky to have won the bid, love the stitches they are just beautiful. Have never seen one like her before, I don't know why but for some reason I thought it was a crank type. Now no one else has asked but since Glenda said she paid $25 for her's what was your winning bid? Just curious and I would bet I'm not the only one wondering.

If you consider piecing just a small garment then there really is no difference. The stitch regulator is, in my opinion, the more important item on a machine with this type of stitch (chain stitch). Since there is no reverse, setting the regulator at the smallest stitch to start a seam effectively locks the stitch.
Will I use this machine for quilting? I don't think so but I could. I am more interested in using it for the embroidery 'effect'.
Plus, it's just a neat looking machine. It runs SO quiet that someone could be sleeping next to it and never hear it. It's also neat to watch the entire arm go up and down - so different from any of my other antique ladies.
