Old New Home - needles?
I was given an old New Home Light Running sewing machine. It is goldish/brown in color, it has a greyhound dog that says light running on him. It was made in Rockford, IL. model NLC. It has a shorter needle than my organ needles. It says CC 1221 on the picture of the needle size to use, that is on the bed of the machine. I need to know if any of you can tell me who would sell this type needles? It does have a flat side. I hope this makes sense. This machine hasn't been used in about 50 years, according to the man at the estate sale.

You can find them at this site. https://www.sew4less.com/product_det...ProductID=3885
There a probably other sites that sell them. Look also for 203x13 needles. They are supposed to work as a replacement
for the CC1221 needles. BTW, the hand wheel turns away from you. Did you get a manual with your machine?

The hand wheel does turn away from you. The bobbin is a little tricky to get out. I didn't get a manual, I wish I had. It has a buttonholer and some feet that I don't know what they are for. It cleaned up well. The cabinet was all apart from sitting in a basement. It sounds loud, but, I hadn't put grease on all the gears yet. I am having trouble getting 2 screws out. It also doesn't have a belt, it has a rubber wheel that is attached to the motor that goes up against the handwheel, that was a first for me. The chrome/shiny parts look great. I wish I knew how to post a pic.

You can download a manual at this link. http://www.ismacs.net/newhome/manual...pages-1-13.pdf
It is for the NLB model but there should not be much, if any, difference. I keep a piece of folded batting between the rubber wheel and the handwheel on my NLB. The rubber wheel will develop a flat spot on it if it has sat against the handwheel for a long time.
