    I found a very old singer at thrift store today...I didn't buy it because there were some missing parts and they wanted $125...I didn 't know enough about it to take a chance....I wrote the Number down...It is AB857727 and it had "made in France" on it...I have searched and searched on Singer web site and that serial number it not there......could someone that knows more than me,,,please help me......there was no presser foot so we couldn 't even see if the moter worked.....Thanks

    You found a Singer 128 and there were 10,000 of them allotted on October 11 1927. Unless it is in perfect condition I would hold out for another one. But that is a fair price for one that would look like new.

    Oh and the machine was made here in the States in Elizabethport, New Jersey
