I coughed up $20 for it and brought it home.
It does work. I did not realize it was a slant needle machine until I brought it home. DH cleaned it up and oiled it. I replaced the needle ( it looked like it was a 20/120) and it seems to be running better. DH took off the bottom cover and showed me a nice lint collectin.
There was absolutely no rust anywhere on it. It needs a new bobbin winder tire.
The motor seems kind of growly compared to my other machines, but the wiring appears to be oksy.
