I don't see any sort of stitch regulator, so I doubt that it is a modified 15-clone.
Could be a copy of one of the many industrial Singer machines, as there were a lot of use specific machines.
Here is a video of the machine on YouTube:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ASartqVB0LA The video says the machine was made in 1986.

Over $125 for a machine that is in Chattanooga? Is someone you know looking for that particular type of machine, Joe? It is way over my "level of understanding" for machines of this ilk. But Chattanooga isn't too far away, and DH and I will be going down there in a couple of weeks, so if you want me to watch it for you, I'm happy to. PM me.

Joe it is a good possibility that is a clone that was set up for a task in a small shop. It might or might not work for much else and if it isn't in it's original table it would be hard to use at all if that is a knee lift.

miriam,
I've looked at the pics several times now and there are several things that make this a dedicated what ever machine.
No stitch length lever or port in the body casting for one
Built in hopping foot
The bosses for the outside shaft are cast into back of the body
The more I look at the pics, the more I don't think it qualifies as a clone. It's a purpose made machine.
