Painted FW Sewing Machine

Painted FW Sewing Machine
I have a FW machine and am looking to have it repainted (in one of those beautiful colors) or sell the one I have and buy a machine that has been repainted. Have you done either and if so, can you recommend the company that repainted your machine or where you purchased your repainted machine? What would really be cute is to have my machine painted a light pink with red cherries (stems included). I've seen a red machine with white poka dots. Too cute.....
Thanks,
Thanks,

Roxanne's A Wish and A Dream does the repaints with the polka dots. She has about a 6 mo wait, last I checked. How long do you want to be without your machine? I agree, if your machine is in good cosmetic shape, I'd find a beater to repaint. I don't know if you've checked out prices but the polka dot one is $900 quoted and they range from 400 on up just for the paint job. Painted machines can cost $1000 or more off the shelf.

Bonnie Hunter had one of hers painted by a man named Gerald. You can find his contact information on her Quiltville blog under Vintage Machines. His prices are very reasonable! I have one that has a scrappy looking body that I intend to paint Plum Crazy~a metallic purple. Can't wait!
