Lori, Motors can come and go. What I found over the years is that if I happen to have a spare motor, that's always good. I can rebuild one and still sew. Even better if the spare motor is over 1 amp. Since I do occasionally use the Pfaff's (1.2 to 1.5amp) and often use the Necchi BU or Nova (1.1 - 1.3amp). it's good to have a spare that's rated to drive tight tolerance machines. My spare Wards was a ten dollar yard sale buy - at least forty bucks and several days less than waiting for a new 1.5amp replacement - and not having a working machine. Hope for the best, but hang on to it. =) Can't wait to see a pic of that Pfaff sewing along!
