Default Pfaff 230 Does anyone know where she can get it repaired?

    Hi friends,
My sister-in-law in upstate NY loves her Pfaff and can't find anyone to fix it. She wants to be able to use the fancy stitches it used to feature.
    Anyone know?
    Thanks

I would begin by telling her to get some good sewing machine oil, saturate all the moving areas of the dials, without getting any on the belt. Then take a hair dryer and get the bearing surfaces good and hot, while trying to move the dials, and the shaft that pivots to follow the cams. These have great tight tolerances and gum up over time. This has gotten any of my Pfaffs operating great, including my 230.

Thanks so much. I just sent her the info. She's had this machine forever and loves it.

If that doesn't work, she can go to the pfaff site and they will tell her where there is a dealer close to her or not.

Thanks, Cari- I don't think she would part with it. She's going to try Friar's suggestions.
