Wow - great machines. Thanks for sharing. I wonder if the New Home was always that color.
Browsed around the web a bit on them - not much info out there. This is the best I found

About half way down the page.

well the best part is the price! They were all cheap! The new Home I found out was made in 1952-1953. I think this is the original color. There's a page on needlebar that has one very similar to mine just older. Now I do have a kenmore that is newer....its only 12 years old that is sitting sadly neglected while these girls have all the fun. Dh got the New Home for doing some work for a guy. He knew I would love it. I love quilting and doing it on a machine similar to what my Grandmother or Great Grandmother would have used is just even more fun. The black machine actually was my Grandmother's but it was electric when she used it. Sadly age and sitting in a storage shed for years did lots of damage to the wiring. Dh may be able to fix it but its been over a year and he still hasn't had time so I'm not holding my breath. It sews wonderfully as a hand crank.

The 2nd one is one I got off freecycle. It sews wonderfully but has the left needle position which makes it kind of odd.
The third one is the machine dh just brought me today. I know nothing about it except that it runs. I'm wondering if class 15 bobbins will work in it?

The only one I don't have a good picture of is my Singer 127 treadle. The decals are all silvered on it so it doesn't look great. I hopefully have found a redeye though that looks good to put in my treadle base.
I have one of those Light running machines. I have a manual for it too.

I have a Light Running New Home as a treadle machine. It has the little greyhound dog on the bed of the machine. I think that Janome produced the New Homes. Maybe somebody knows more about it.
