Such a cute pair! Does the toy do a chain stitch? I think I have seen one that makes a chain rather than a bobbin-spool thread stitch. Funny how I have noticed Necchi machines a lot lately...must be something in the wind!

Awesome! It also looks like you have one of the machines that can be converted to treadle operation.

mlmack. yes she can be treadled. Unfortunately the treadle pedal was removed and thown out as being obsolete!

sunflowerzz. If you ever come across cams I would be very happy. She came with a box of cams but they are for a Necchi 555 and are, I am told, not compatible, at least they have never been used.

Pippa, can you say more about the treadle pedal? I have this machine (in pink) but have never seen or known about any treadle pedal. Mine also can be treadled. What would I need to do so? What does the part look like and how is it used?

Congratulations on your machine!

Thanks,
Cricket

Pippa I found my accessory box on ebay and it wasn't cheap! There is a listing right now:http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Necc...item2a3ae93a9b

Since I only paid 40.00 for the machine and I already had the table for it I felt 65.00 and the shipping was worth it and I wanted all of those accessories NOW!! LOL The box is way cool and has a design wheel that you can turn by the metal edge of the wheel that they made a place for, see photos, it also has more designs on the inside of the top. The top layer of cams swings out to reveal all of the accessories in the bottom layer. It is made extremely well and compliments the machine wonderfully. Your machine is the cream of the crop IMHO and deserves to have the original cream of the crop accessory box to go with her.

Whenever anyone visits my sewing room and she is revealed under her cover it is just ohs and awhs and invariably they all walk over to loving stroke her beautiful curves. The word I use to describe how she sews I have not been able to use with any other machine so far. DREAMY!! SOoo much fun. I love this machine can't you tell?

I got to sew with a pink version of your machine at a TOGA, it treadled very nicely.

I"ve been checking out this part of the site for many years, curious to see all the old machines. I've seen a bunch of them over the years but I have never seen one as elegant, graceful and obviously well-made as the gorgeous machine. The fact that she has little Pippa next to her, who shares all those qualities, is simply wonderful. A special treat. Thanks for posting this picture. You made my day.
