Possible FW wiring problem?
I have an aftermarket pedal for my fw (Midge). That's what it came with. I sewed on Midge heavily yesterday and noticed the pedal has to be pushed almost all the way down to get the machine to go and when I let up after sewing at slower speeds the pedal doesn't stop sending current to the machine. (The machine still hums or tries to turn the flywheel) If I lightly kick the side of the pedal the current stops so I'm thinking it's in the pedal. Does that seem right, which would be a quick fix and worst case scenario I'd replace the pedal, or should I be worried about something more sinister?

Something inside the foot controller is out of adjustment, or broken. They are easy to take apart and they are easy to replace. If you do a lot of slow sewing an electronic foot controller might serve you better than one of the resistance types. Sew-Classic has both if you choose to replace it.
Take the controller apart, clean it and see if you can see something out of place. Forum member ArcaicArcane has a blog article about adjusting and cleaning foot controllers. I've lost the link to it so you might PM her.
