BTW- I get carried away about attachments, and I have some fun ones that go with the White.

I'd be interested in any attachments that would go for the VS1.....
|
do you have pictures - or a site I can go to and see pictures? I've got a couple of extra tuckers that look just like what is pictured above, and a couple of side clamp rufflers that look like that above also.
I've also got several items that would have come from puzzle boxes - but don't know if you'd be interested in any of that. I was reading - ISMACS says the VS1 had a different width slide plate from the VS2 - I've got one set of fiddlebase slides (shirr and underbraider) but don't know which one they would fit. |
Do you have pictures that I would show me how to put all this stuff together.....
|
What a beauty you have there...

Thank You....

Here is how the tucker goes together. There should be three peices, and one should have two screws in it.
http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c3...ps473c49b3.jpg Make sure the screw is all the way up, then tuck the inside edge under the little marker point http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c3...pse2b759d7.jpg http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c3...ps0272c426.jpg and then you sort of press the screw back while pressing the bar down so it will pop into place. BTW - I used my other hand to press the screw back - but couldn't take a picture with both hands on the attachment. http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c3...ps3a382545.jpg here it is, popped into place http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c3...psc1e8cf4d.jpg Go easy as you don't want to bend anything permanently. Once in place, you can tighten the screw down - that is how you hold it in place while sewing. http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c3...ps48fd3b92.jpg The front guide just slips into place. This one has a little lip on the back side that fits over the back bar - it won't slide fully if this lip in on the wrong side of the back bar. http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c3...ps604c6054.jpg http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c3...pse460e71e.jpg BTW - while doing this I noticed the copper color scratches - so got out the magnet - and it appears these are all plated brass. The magnet sticks to most of my newer attachments, but to almost none of my old stuff. Does not stick to any of the D8 attachments, and I can tell they are plated brass where the plating is worn. Though my D9 set appears to be steel. Neat to find out more about these items! |
