Hi Caroline,
Think Davis only marked their shuttles for a period of time, most of my bullet shuttles are not marked and none of my boat shuttles are.

Enjoy

Thanks Jon. I am posting some pics of the mystery boat shuttle. It may not even be a Davis shuttle. Here is hoping a mystery can be solved.

Definately NOT a Davis boat...or it doesn't look like mine anyway!

I have been looking on the Internet and so far no luck either. The closest image I could find was a White VS. Close but no cigar!

I wonder if that's not for an EARLY Singer...do you mind if I snag your photo and ask on Needlebar?

Not at all. I would appreciate it.

Sounds like you made a good find. The Lady selling it is not very considerate. Sounds like it did finally work out okay for you. Lots of knowledgeable people on this site and they are willing to share. Enjoy your 'new' machine. Great looking cabinet too.

DING DING DING!!! Give the girl a prize!! Rijnko, at Needlebar quickly identified the boat as belonging to a "White O.S.", saying that there's a piece of it missing...has sent pics in, but they've not been published yet.

:)

I had thought perhaps the mystery boat shuttle may have been missing a piece. Just did not have enough knowledge regarding them. Thanks Charlee.

Looks like you won't be getting big bucks for it on ebay. Then again you never know :)

It never occurred to me to put on Ebay. I don't have a White OS, but one never knows what the Treadle Machine Goddess will send my way.:)
