I found this on Craigslist, not sure if it's a featherweight. The serial # is AB551904 |
No, it appears to be a model 99. :)
|
Depending on the price, it would take me about two seconds to buy it. :) It's one of the few remaining machines on my wish list. :)
It's a 3/4 sized machine like the 28/128, but it takes a class 66 bobbin and resembles the full-size model 66. |
Nope, it's a 99 in a bent wood case with a knee controller.
Serial number dates it to: March 23 of 1927, 1 of 15,000 allocated that date. I too would buy it in a heart beat if the price was decent. Joe |
It's not a featherweight. One way you can tell is that featherweights have a flip up piece on the left front side.
|
It's the same machine I have!! Unfortunately mine did not come with the case.
|
You know it is not a Featherweight because it weighs considerably more than a feather does.
|
No I don't think so.
|
It is a 99K...definitely. Made in "Great Britain". It is unique in that it has a knee lift built into the machine and base. Nice strong machine...but it weighs a ton. 3/4 size. Enjoy

Yes, it is a 99k. I have a friend (really old) who has a 99k that I want so desperately 'til it is pitiful. She keeps telling me to wait and I can bid on it at her "auction"--here in TN estates are auctioned off after 6 months after the death of a person. I am sure I would rather have her here with us as being able to acquire a machine in that manner....
