It looks pretty, and I like the parlor cabinet, but is there some trait that makes it more appealing to people? I know people like the Two Spools because of the bobbin spool and the Davis VF because of the feed. Does the Damascus have something unique about it?

Bennett, I think it's because of the parlor cab... there's really nothing unique about Damascus machines, they can be really pretty girls tho... I think they were sold by Montgomery Wards, if my memory serves (which it often doesn't! :D )

Wish they were closer to me.

Oh my gosh, a two spool... doesn't that mean no stopping to wind bobbins? Wish I was closer!

anybody buy those yet?

Mitch's mom 01-28-2012 04:51 PM

Ohhhh... I'd love to have that 2 spool.

Oh WOW, a Damascus Grand and a National Two Spool. Both are on my wish list. Sure wish I lived close. They would have been coming home to my house.

I'm with you Bennett! I also live in North Texas - and what I generally see isn't very good, and seems mostly overpriced (at least as compared to the deals/steals others find!!).
