Oh if only shipping weren't so prohibitive! I'd send you all of ours! Worst winter we've had in ages, there's more than 18" in the front yard, and there are snow banks on our property taller than me. Last night we were -51F (yes, minus fifty one) with the wind chill (-33F without) and we're warming up by Wednesday, in time for some freezing rain too.

Oh Tammi, that gave me deja vu so bad... I used to have to walk to school in that stuff. Northern Wisconsin is cold. This is bad snow for around here though. We are still getting some. It is suppose to go to negitive numbers tonight. I just hope the electric stays on. We are illequipped here.

I love how the weather guessers here, always give for the extreme low, someplace like Minot N.D. is -25, or some other northern US city. We think "how awfully cold that must be!" forgetting entirely about our northern neighbor! BRRR!!!!

Luckily we climbed pretty steadily about a degree or two an hour since the night before last. We're finally back up to a more "reasonable" 16F, with above freezing temps expected for Thursday. Of course the road conditions will change for the worse accordingly as well. One thing about -51F, .... the roads aren't particularly slippery, and it doesn't snow.

I'm always so surprised to see how often the power goes out for days in the states. I can't name a single incident in my remembered lifetime where that's happened here. The most I can ever recall is hours. I think there's a chance the power was out longer in parts of Edmonton after the F4 (rumored possible F5) tornado that hit here in '87. I wasn't here for it, I was visiting on the coast.

We even modify our wet T-Shirt contests accordingly apparently: http://www.theweathernetwork.com/new...rairies/19004/

I lol'ed. :)

i know. i feel for you. they said it will be the coldest weather everywhere. we're about 48deg here and yet we're all complaining, not knowing how worst it is in some other areas. and we've got a little bit of sunshine too. stay warm guys.

That isn't all that out of line for industrial stuff

I found this amusing, I assume a shop closed down locally. I know they aren't the same model, but there's a deal to be had here.

Anastasia - that second one is a steal if you have a table and time to mess around.
