Nice machine. I hope you get it running quickly so you can have fun and play on it.

Sweet treat! Great find and a great price.

Very nice! I just got a 99 a couple of weeks ago from Craig's List. I paid $50 but the case is in sad shape, although the machine does work. Found out mine is a 1956 made in Elizabeth, also. The machines look almost exactly alike from the picture. I, too, am hoping for a Featherweight some day!

I paid $25 for mine in a cabinet. You did good!

But yes you are lucky to have the kneebar with it! Billy |
Excellent find for the price! Congrats! Not sure what the extra piece is, though.

You got a good deal. I paid $40 for mine. I had to buy a new cord and belt for mine before it could sew, so that added to the cost. It came in the same case and had all the attachments and a couple oil cans. I like the knee bar. Do you have your manual?
Manual: http://www.sew-classic.com/uploads/99K.pdf It doesn't quite show the knee lever in the manual (it does in my printed one) - you put it in end pointing to the left and then it swings down into place. Looks like this: 99K13 with knee bar attached |
I want to say "Thanks" to all who have responded. You have been very helpful and I was able to download a manual. I stuck the end of the knee bar into the machine to make sure it fits good and it does. Maybe tonight I can get it oiled and try sewing on it. This Quilt Board is the best friend I have made in a long time, I check it every day.
