I took "Liz" ( my recently acquired White Rotary) to the sewing machine "doctor" today. At first he was going to send it back with me because the cord is extremely frayed and apparently they don't make the parts for it any more. He also doesn't do electrical. As he looked at it a little more, he decided he could make it a foot control if I had no objections. I want to sew with it so I said okay. Did I make a huge booboo allowing him to do this to her? I'll remind you that this is my first experience with vintage machines. Thanks for any input... I paid $31 for the machine and cabinet.

How is your machine after coming back from the OSMG? I'm curious if you got that tangling mess figured out. Ok, I'm dying to know if you have insight to share! :o

Linda in MO,

If your machine uses the three spade or three prong connector on the motor Sew-Classic sells them. As far as making a foot controller, they are easily available from S-C and many other places.

Thank you, Joe. I was just afraid I would ruin "the charm" of the machine if I made it a foot control.
