Muv,

I have a 55 vintage 99K that was badly rusted up. I'm to the point of needing a few parts for it and finishing the cleaning. Once that's done I'm going to buy a hand crank kit for it. The machine came with no motor so, why not. I've never sewn with a hand crank, it should be interesting.

Joe, start practising now. Sit on your right hand when you are treadling.

good sound advice, Muv!!! I learned on a hand crank - vaccinated myself and mom got rid of the machine - so when I found one I took to it like a duck to water - I was even able to flat fell one handed! Not too hard once you get the hang of it.

Got me an underbraider today. Am loading the video to watch again. But .......... now I find I don't have a quilting foot. Sigh ........ another thing to look for.
