I have had Helen (named after grandmother who bought it new, 201-3, then got the white Rotary and now I am hooked on vintage machines, but have NO room for any more, but I can look!! Addicting for sure. And reading the manual as I was printing if off for the 1911 White, it is amazing what they could do with these old machines.

Isn't it all great, I never knew when I started this quilting thing where it would it lead.it is so much fun with all the machines. All are my favorites! Not everyone understands that! But we do!
I don't have anymore room either for anymore machines, however maybe I could make room for a FW . |
Same here, I never knew when I took up quilting that it would lead me to this quilting board and all the knowledge and inspiration , then on to the "vintage machine" postings. I had never heard of a featherweight or seen one until I saw them here. Now I have 2 Featherweights, one 99 and then got a Singer redeye 66, and lastly have a 15-91. Two have the bentwood cases, one is in it's original cabinet, and the featherweights came in their cases. I also have my "fancier" computer Janome and embroidery machines, but I love, love, love sewing on the vintage ones. So I totally relate :)...plan to keep on loving it all too.

Love my Featherweight, really like the 99's but my go-to machine is my 401. I use that the most.

I am a new member with a lot of machines 2 treadles ,99-13 ,99k, 600, red eye, 201, 128,which I have 2 ,1 is gorilla finish,238,white fw, black fw,15-91,15-90,24 chain stitcher,206,306,301,all singers. I also have a Jones hand crank and and a black gorilla finish Coronado. I love them all but if I have to pick a favorite has to be the 15-90 as it belonged to my mother and is the 1 my 4 sisters and I learned to sew on. I still use it every day.
