Very pretty machine. Isn't that a coffin top?

That is a gorgeous machine. I don't think I'vee seen one like it before. Do you know who it belonged to?

That is a beautiful machine. Wish I had a treadle. Would come in handy when there is a power outage!!!

You'd be amazed at how much dirt comes off with mineral oil and a cotton ball. Then dry with a soft cloth

This machine is a rare machine so you need to treat it with kid gloves. The decals are super nice and need to be well cared for. Go Jo Nonpumice is what you want to use to clean it with and be sure to work in small areas with cotton balls and paper towels to wipe the residue. Try a small spot first on the back side and see if it will not hurt the finish. If it does then just wipe the dust off and leave it alone you will kill the value if you clean it and hurt the finish.

Wow! What a beauty!! Did it belong to someone in your family?

Now that I see yours, I can see what is missing from the front of my "new" machine....it is the bobbin winder.

Here is a good video showing how to wind a bobbin on that machine.... http://www.youtube.com/user/TreadleL.../8/GOu4-CG8RMU

I have had this machine for 30 years.

It seems to be missing something in the bobbin area, the little silver colored piece. I have a bobbin inside of the machine, and do not know how to get it out.

As a matter of fact, I know nothing about this machine. Oh, the serial number us 7923354, which makes it a 1888 model.
