Beautiful, string quilts can be awkward to quilt, the seam allowances would have made it quite tricky. Beautiful.
I quilted my string quilt in a 3" diagonal grid, it made it easier to quilt. Sharon in Texas |
Earthwalker,
I cannot hand quilt anything any more, repetitive motion injuries prevent it. I used to quilt all of my quilts by hand, I miss doing it. My current domestic machine that I use for quilting is a very modern Pfaff QE 4.2 w/10" throat space and built in walking foot. I piece most my quilts with one of my treadle machines. DKuehn,
Parts of your treadle cabinet look like bird's eye maple, such a lovely machine and cabinet. The quilt is pretty too. Sharon in Texas |

Beautiful job in color choice and piecing!

Thank you for the comments on the orange quilt. This next one is still a work in progress. It's to be auctioned off at a reunion to help cover cost of the shelter we use. Hope they like it. It's called carpenter's wheel, but I know everyone all ready knows the name.
