Finally finished my scrappy quilt. Front side is a modified Jacob's Ladder and back side is the pixel heart. I pieced on my Two Spools, quilted with the Davis NVF, attached binding with Davis NVF, and finished off binding with decorative stitching using my Singer 328k in treadle. |

Here is a gift that I made for my sister's grandson. I had some leftover fabrics from the I Spy quilt that I made for my father last year. Since the little guy, the grandson, loves baseball, I made him a quilt. I tested a quilt as you go technique that was extremely easy to follow.

I made this quilt for the lady who practically gave me a Kenmore over the weekend. I did FMQ it on my vintage Monarch 15 Clone, so it is somewhat vintage related. The lady's daughter is having a baby Wednesday, and wanted a black, pink, and zebra quilt. I will deliver it to her tomorrow.

Thank you! Yes that's the 201. The quietest and smoothest sewing machine that I own.

cut into four squares (DP9) Take a plain square the same size and make how ever you like on the diagonal. put new plain squares on top of the cut up 4 squares Sew nest to the diagonal mark on each side of the mark 1/4 in. Cut right down the diagonal mark of each square You should have a total of 8 squares? I think you can make the little square the place to start or not - it would be up to you. I believe I would want them all the same no matter what. It seems like it would be fancy without a lot of work. I wonder if it would have to be squared up later? |

Love the baseball theme....my DH made a Dodger's themed quilt for a friend of ours baby, and now I have tons of baseball fabs in our stash!! My DH doesn't just buy what he needs for a quilt...he buys whatever he can find in the theme he's going to do, and then decides which ones to use. So....my cup runneth over with sports and cars themed fabrics!! LOL

The 201 is a very quiet machine, it amazed me just how silent it is. I was unfairly judging the other machines by her.

Sharon, I have to ask, Is that cotton shoved into that wall hole? You need to make a pretty small quilt to cover that hole.

Since I got my Singer 301 I make all my quilts on it, just seems like they turn out so pretty and don't seem to have the problems that I had before I got her. That gentle purr just makies me want to sew and sew!! I have 4 other sewing machines but "Agie Pearl" is my "go to" girl. I think my mom, (her name was Agnes Pearl) who was a fabulous sewer/quilter is watching over me and Agie. Thanks mom!!!!!
