I've been scrolling through all these wonderful machines and beautiful quilts & thought I'd share a little! My go-to machine that I make everything on is my 32 year old riccar that is a hand-me-down from my mum. I don't think it qualifies as antique but it's certainly vintage! Halfway through making this quilt it took ill & had to go off to the sewing machine hospital so I switched to my 'spare', my late grandmother's pfaff 30, which I think is early 1950's. I'm pretty sure it hasn't had so much as a service in the 20 years my mum & I have had (actually, maybe I should get on that...) it but it still works perfectly. The quilt is log cabin blocks made of 30's fabrics from a jelly roll with others added from stash, hand quilted. And the happy ending is my riccar was saved after a good service & now works perfectly again, hopefully it will for many years to come!

Thankyou! Each half a log cabin is made of one jelly roll strip cut in half lengthwise, ie 2 1/2", so the finished width of each strip is 3/4". Once I got into the swing of the strip piecing they came together really quickly. I can't remember the overall size but it's on my double bed!

Finally finished another baby quilt. I told the girls at work if anyone else becomes pregnant, I'm putting all their names in a hat and having a raffle. I can't keep up! :) (Currently have 4 babies on the way there, plus this one).

Bennett, that's a darling pattern in perfect fabrics for it. Very nice.

I finally completed the Christmas quilt that gave me a headache when I used the spray baste. After numerous washings of all the materials to remove the chemicals from the spray baste, I hand basted and machine quilted. I used my Singer 15-90 for the FM quilting and Davis NVF for the straight stitch quilting. I'm glad this quilt is done.
