Had me laughing too. I'm grateful that you all let me play with you. I can do sponge-baths and take temps, but you people resuscitate and do major surgery.
Miriam, thanks for the link to the Sewing Dude site. I had some good chuckles, and when I downloaded the service manual for 401, 403, & 404 Singer Machines, got some answers to questions I had about the 404 I am still struggling with after someone worked on it before it arrived at the thrift store. It isn't nearly as easy as the other 404 that had a straight pin in the lever to lift the needle plate, plus the two pearlhead straight pins jammed way down in the oil holes. |
