time for introductions

my name is Cil, and I live in coastal Virginia. I tried a 12-step program for sewing machine addiction and washed out, so I have decided it is time to just live with my problem. That means no more lurking, time to come out to the group.
I had my granny's 201-2 restored, and fell in love. So I started saving machines when I found them. First was a curbside find, a badged Capri in gold and white. Then my auntie gave me her hot pink FW, and my dh bought me a purple 222. New addiction- repainting machines that are unsalvagable. I now also have: Singer 301, 503, red-eye 66(which will be my first total decal restoration/repaint), Morse fotomatic III and IV, pink Atlas machine, pink Remington machine, and 3 parts machines. |
Welcome to "Quilters NON- Anonymous" ! hehe we take pride in being addicted to machines, fabrics, threads, quilts, patterns, books! You name it! I really love that blue machine! such a different color!

Welcome from one who has gone over the edge with my addiction to vintage machines but I love and use them all!
|
I can't wait to see the ones you've repainted!

I am agonizing over whether to paint a Singer 66 or not. The paint is not horrendous, but I really want to paint it pearl pink with little roses. I know purists will not like it, but I will. What do y'all think? Pink or black?????

Welcome Cil. Love all of your sewing machines. Especially the Morse machines. They are my favorites as I have one pink TZ50, two 4400s and one 4100. Yeah, I also keep falling off the 12 step program for no more vintage sewing machines. Totally addicted.
