Meanwhile... I was checking all the photo's of 15-91's for sale, and parts. There are no blackside 15-91s... or parts... out there. (at the moment). I wanted to get some matching blackside attachments for mine... but... where to look?! I have an adjustable hemmer in blackside, and one bobbin... that's about it. Anyone here have any they don't need? hint, hint???? :D |

Nancy Has anybody made slide off decals for their machines? I'd like to make some for Elvira (a little on the dark side) just for fun. Just wondering if anyone had given that a try. One of my friends puts decals (especially those from the 50s and 60s--the modern ones tend to be very thin, and will tear easily) on her Japanese machines. They look great!! I believe that is a newer machine in the cabinet. The cabinet is Eastlake. All of the machines I've seen in the Eastlake cabinet have had Sphinx machines in them. I'm not saying it couldn't be original; but I doubt it. What is the date of your machine? |
thanks for the info Kwendt! I was actually thinking it might refer to the space in the neck with regards to machine quilting. I learn something every day here!

Boy the last 25 pages have been jam packed with educational info and great photos!. Welcome to all the newbies and congratulations to all the new owners of olde machines! Thank you everyone for all of the techinical info, I'm loving it!! Sure hope someone can come up with a way to index it or organize it or jounalize it or whatever it should be called so that we can refer back to it easily before it's too monumental to tackle. There is a book or two worth of info so far!

I found this in Wikipedia and thought it may help someone follow the order of production.
