Just happened to notice she does not have a light attached, don't know what that is all about or how I can fix it but I was already looking at Billy's tut for disassembly and almost dove in. I just need to BREATHE!! Well here she is

I have the same cabinet and probably the same machine. Mine is a number 15 machine. I haven't sewn with it yet. Have to find time to clean it up etc. The cabinet is in perfect condition too!

I'd love to see a scan of it!

Miriam, hope this is clear enough to see.

That is a wonderful buy, Kathie. I shall look and see what I have, if anything.

What do you think? thanks http://albuquerque.craigslist.org/atq/2478168301.html

Looks like if you put these 2 together, you'd have a complete one! Love the cabinet style, nice arts & crafts look to it.

I can see it on one side of the treadle, but can't see if it's on the other side or not.

Congratulations!!! The Singer 500A will work without cams. It only came with 5 in the first place. You need 1-5 the rest are built in. Take your time some might turn up. The stitch selector is what gunks up on those - never force it to move.
