It's DEFINITELY not worth the $250 they want... I have heard the materials they are made with are not as durable as the originals, but I can't say for sure since I don't own one. |
Glenn do you care to share the pattern for the crocheted spool pin? Kathie

Thank you but I can't do everything but I try to my wife's dismay. Okay lets see if I can get the pattern right. Use steel crochet hook #7 and of course crochet thread.
Chain 10, slip stitch in last chain to make the circle. Round 1-Chain three double crochet twice(first double crochet cluster) chain three, double crochet three times, chain three repeat five times. you will have have six double crohet clusters with chain three between each one. Round 2-slip stitch to the middle double crochet, chain six, slip stich in the center of next cluster repeat aroung bind off. If you have any question just ask. Glenn |

But we have to go looking often at these stores. And of course leads from friends who know we like old sewing machines. I am getting picky so only look for ones in good shape now or one that says take me home. Glenn Nancy PS Charlee, I would have offered $150, but I really don't 'need' another treadle. I just figured for the right price I'd get it! |
