Glenn, with that HW I can see where this machine could be treadled without a whole lot of modifying. I would love to see it in a treadle - with the belt attached. I don't have a 319, but it looks like you have a zig zag too? If that is the case, I want to find one like yours that I can pop into a treadle without all the modifying to make it work.

If the stack of cams can be changed I haven't figured out how. There is an external cam reader and cam in the front of the machine that can be changed.

All the cams that can be changed are on the outside. You can zig zag by using the top key. Those top keys can be used to together to get several decorative stitches. This is one machine where the manual is necessary to learn how to work the stiches.

Nancy if you send me your email address I will sent you a short clip of the machine in action in the treadle. If you have a red eye with the treadle no modification is necessary except to remove the motor and place in you cabinet. You will need a belt longer than the one on the red eye. I think any singer treadle with same dim as the red eye would work. My 319 fits the back lift hinges on the treadle. You will see an old man working the machine to LOL

first, let me say this link is such a BAD influence on me. Since I started reading it I bought a '47 featherweight and a '22 hand crank! Then I Started the hunt for a red eye treadle, that was the only one I wanted and the last vintage machine I would buy. I saw one this weekend on CL for $450 - WAAAY out of my price range. Then I saw one on ebay for local pick up only, but it was in Illinois, i'm in Texas - thus you see geographical problem :-) i was lamenting to my wonderful hubby that I may be on the forever-for-nothing search for a read eye treadle, when he said, bid on it, if you win, we'll go get it together (gosh, i LOVE this man!). So, I did, I won, we went! Here she is in all her glory, and her fantastic price of $56, she's a 1910. if that wasn't' great enough, the person who sold her also had a "portable" singer and asked was I interested!. I bought that machine for $20. I need your help, I have no idea what type of machine this tiffany decal machine is, her wooden cabinet is in rough shape but the machine looks great, she's a 1916. there is a hamilton beech motor attached to the back of this machine, I plan to take it off an make it a hand crank. Any ideas what type of machine she is?

It looks to me like a 66 the same model as the red eye
