Oh yeah, it was just a couple of months ago.....This has to be one of the all time most popular threads that I know of......Thanks Billy..... Maybe we need to present it to the Mod Squad and the Boss!! Billy Darcene |

Do you think that you could copy and paste any info you wanted to keep and just make a file on your computer and keep it for later use. Just a suggestion. Until you can talk with the Mod Squad. I have copied a few things I wanted to keep.

I am not trying to be sarcastic at all but I have threaded this machine so many times I think I could do it blind folded. LOL. Hubby said we could probably thread it running. We are just haveing a hard time and run out of ideas. Have changed needle and bobbin race and bobbins. Will sew maybe one stitch then no more. Any suggestions from anyone would be helpful right now.

The following information is not related to your specific machine but it does refer to a problem that another user was having with regard to difficulty with forming a stitch: The machine takes a Boye Needle #4, or a Singer 20x1, which are no longer made, but you can still find them around. You should be able to use a standard 15x1 needle in the machine, but you are going to have to drop the needle down in the needlebar to get it to sew. When it catches the bobbin thread, you have succeeded. The original needle's eye was a bit further down then the current 15x1 needle (4.3mm longer). This quote comes from a vintage treadle site on yahoo.... http://groups.yahoo.com/group/vintag...ewingmachines/ |
