I've tried to carefully read through the manual and I am amazed at the different things it can do. Darcene, have you or your mother tried to do free motion quilting on it? It came with a box full of feet and a ruffler. Makes me want to plan a project with ruffles just so I can see how it works. LOL.

Any ideas or suggestions for a ruffled project.

Kitzone,
Love your new machine. I really like the mid-century ones.

So far only black machines for me. Oh, forgot one brown gorilla finish one is in the mix.

Congratulations

I was thinking about doing a ruffled inner boarder for a baby quilt. I want to try it out also. There are so many of them.

She did do fmq on a large whole cloth bedspread in the early 70's...she made it look easy....I will ask her tomorrow if she still has the manual....she takes exceptionally good care of her possessions....if her machine has a scratch on it I haven't seen it yet....it still looks brand new despite the heavy use it has had over the years.....if the manual is in good enough condition I will scan it for you and send you a pdf.....

Kitzone, try the knee lever, you may love it. I'm in the process of converting my Singer to a knee lever. (Having fun jerry-rigging the electrical connections) I learned to sew with the knee lever and wish they hadn't discontinued them.

I just love this little machine
need to get her a belt and need some instructions
she moves freely but needs cleaned up some
some attachments and an extra bullet bobbin casing were in her drawer along with the KEY!
I don't often find such nice things!

What does the badge say on it? It looks like a Singer New Family but I think its German.
