thanks a bunch for the response. it looks like it's on the back of a truck and i am willing to bet they know very little about it. but i will check on it.

Why would you think it's a 'monstrous' Singer? It's just a regular old, domestic sewing machine. Probably a 328. Nothing special or especially monstrous about it. LOL. It would take regular old needles like most domestic machines...

You snooze, you lose. I went back to get the Kenmore that has been at SA since June 15 and it was gone. I saw it Friday, I should have bought it Saturday. Oh, well, next step - take the Pfaff to the repair shop.

I meant the size of it. it is larger than any of the vintage singers that i have.

New Machine

3 Attachment(s)
A friend and I went to Eugene to just to go to thrift stores without the hubby's!! Since I've been wanting a cheep machine that I didn't feel like I could ruin I figured $9.99 was cheep enough. Have now seen one of these mentioned on here before but that could mean I just forgot!! After I carried the HEAVY thing to the counter she only charged me $8.00 and some change. (Senior discount) I had plugged it in at the store and it ran. After getting home I noticed it had had a Singer foot peddle put on it. That is plastic so I knew it wasn't the one that came with the machine.

The writing is in fancy lettering and as near as I can figure out it says
RH Macy & Co
??
New York

On the end of the arm it says " The Eldredge Rotary Manufactured by National Sewing Machine Co. Belvidene, Ill.

Now Charlee, you told me once what the feet we called for my "New Home" and this has the same kind. Please tell me again so I can write it down this time and then I can forget where I put it!!!

Got to find a needle for it (I hope) and see if I can figure out how to thread it. Then if it works will try to sweet talk hubby to build a case for it.

If any of you know anything about this machine please let me know.

Really? Do you have toy machines or only 3/4 machines? A 328 is just a normal size machine.

one woman's monstrous is another woman's typical. it's all in the perspective.:) i find it amazing that you could have a room full of people look at the same object and it is possible for each one to come up with a different description of it.

it's great that we can all have and respect our different points of view.:)

New Attachments Purchase

http://www.ebay.com/itm/261071089690...#ht_500wt_1378

My newest attachment purchase from ebay arrived today. I sort of rolled the dice that this would fit my various Davis Underfeeds and they did. The cylinder shuttle, marked Davis, turned out to be in nice shape and will fit my Vertical Feeds as well. Needles included were 2 Davis Longs and 2- 20x1's. Most likely this set came with a Davis Minnesota SM.

Should provide hours of fun working on my hemmer skills.

Jon
