It's just starting....wait awhile and you will be amazed at what machine will show up in your life and then it will be unstoppable. :) There is no known cure for "machinitis".. |

You mean buying them all won't cure it? I just might end up on an episode of hoarders |
I think I have decided to call her "Fiona". She comes in a green box, really pretty, but truly a workhorse.

I just came across this ad on eBay and I've never heard of a crinkle finish on a featherweight. Is this original or a redo? The price seems a bit outragous. Thanks!!! Item # 290467163838

Her Serial number is EV955299. When I looked it up, it says that number should be a 328K. I have read the charts wrong before, so can someone check it. Am I looking at the wrong one? Also any suggestions on Names? I have never named a machine before, but I think this beauty needs one. :-) |
WooHoo! She looks lovely.
I have a green and white case like that and one side of my handle just broke recently! I think I will take the whole thing off and manufacture some kind of substitute! |
Ok you guys, I want a 'newer' featherweight like around 1950, but maybe I will hold out for a white one too? My FW is a first run of 1935. Billy says to hang on to this one -- it is one of the oldest!
I think I want a newer FW for taking to 'Girl's Night Out' and classes! Maybe, a refurbished one that is red or purple! There is a guy around here -- he comes to the quilt shows -- and he sells the re-done FW's in colors for about $800 each! Nancy |

Quiltertuy27,
The overspray on the bottom which sprays over on the rubber feet make it look like the machine was sprayed with a fleck-stone type can spray paint. How they got the logo to show through is tricky. Seems to have been painted to me. But what do I know, right? :-) Aardie.
