http://austin.craigslist.org/atq/1996940603.html I thought a Featherweight came with it, that's the picture she emailed me. :x When I got to her house, she brings out a 99k. I said to her, "That's NOT the machine you showed me in the picture!" The cabinet is in very good condition. She wanted $100 for it....I wanted it bad. |
What you didn't go for the saddle? The cabinet looks like it is in good condition.[/quote]
My dogs wouldn't appreciate being saddled. The cabinet is in really good shape, just needs a bit of Old English scratch cover or something like that. :-D |

Do you think painting my featherweight like this would ruin the value? My dh brought it home from the thrift store the other day. He paid $25 for it. I think he's a keeper. He even found my pfaff embroidery machine at a pawn shop a few years back...yep, he's a keeper!

I think I would have it repainted if its that bad, you want the machine to be usable.

I wonder what Billy would charge? I'll have to sell lotsa fabric and books :0)

I think that pink FW is really pretty. I know the purists don't like the repainted ones, but if the original is in a poor condition, then why not?
Congrats, Billy on getting to page 400 - great achievement. |
Thanks Billy, Charlee, MzJohnny, Darcene, and everyone that adds to the welt of knowledge of the 'Vintage Ladies,' and Congrates on the 400 pages to the shop.
