Sorry Boopers, I actually didn't expect to get it, I'd bid on others and they all went for over $300. I put in the bid just cause I knew I would never remember to look on Sunday when it was done. But, I am very HAPPY, I been looking for one!

Anyway, a very nice machine it is! Nancy |

"The bobbin slide plate is missing, any info on where to get it and what type needle would be greatly appreciated." A regular 15 x 1 needle, and I THINK a 99 slide plate will work. (Reproductions of those are available as well.) |
Thank you, Billy! I have it all cleaned and oiled and the 347 runs very nicely. It does make a great stitch. This one has the zig-zag capability as you slide the stitch lever from 0 - 4. The top is plastic but the machine is metal. I have a problem with the handle on the case. The leather has basically disintegrated and it's breaking into pieces. Any ideas as to how to replace this? Thanks, Jane

I know there is always lots of talk about the needles for some of the older machines. Look at this display item. Just neat looking.

http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/atq/2037785421.html http://needlebar.org/main~nb/boye/index.html I have to say it's "sort of mine" because I bought it, but sent it home with Bill Grewe because he's The Boye Guy and I have no hope whatsoever of finding space for it in my house!! |
