PS I agree grandmothers or grandfathers should teach the grandkids how to sew. Wow, I am blown away. Glenn your quilts are awesome. The Fan quilt closeup is just gorgeous on page 14. What is sitting in the middle of the foot pedal of your Redeye Treadle? Your embroidery work is also beautiful! Quilterken on page 17 - just so beautiful. And Billy all your quilts are so outstanding! I really like the Christmas Quilt for your wife! All the quilts on that thread are just so inspiring! How do you all have time to finish all those quilts! Especially you Billy, with all your other jobs! Nancy |
Some of the Damascus cabinets are gorgeous with their ornate work. Do you own one of those gorgeous cabinets? I have never seen a Mason on my wanderings through vintage sewing blog land. I would still go with the Davis.[/quote]
Yes, the Damascus cabinet is awesome. I had it as my avatar until recently. |

It turns brown and cloudy when it gets water on it or is damaged in some other way. It must be completely removed and the head recoated with another finish. I have used TR-3 (time-consuming, but great) and have also removed the finish with Go-Jo and used Armour-All car wax (3 or 4 light coats) as a finish. |

I had no reason to think the machine would be in the condition I recieved it in. |
