About the models and the different classes and the sort. Just started learning about the different machines and find it hard to keep track in my head. I look at one and think I might know what it is, but once I start reading about it, I realize there was something on the machine, right in my face, that I missed and makes it something else. I'm living and learning.

Oh, I still do that. For the Singers, if the tension is in the front it is a 66 class and takes one type of bobbin, and if the tension is on the side it is a 15 class and takes a different type of bobbin. I believe that goes for your Wizard and Kenmore too.

Oh Grandmother23, My favorite is the 404. They are all nice. but, I always have a favorite... :thumbup:

Grandmother23, what a neat find. You have a Kenmore class 15, see how the tension disk is on the front face plate! Perfect example of a class 15 machine.

Your Spartan, a 3/4 size machine, is the same as a Singer 99, just a cheaper version of the 99 originally, but now worth more because they are rarer than the 99.

The Singer is a 99, which is a 3/4 size machine.

The 404 is sometimes called the Rocketeer, a very nice machine.

Your Wizard looks to be a class 15 machine, but I never heard of the Wizard! Wow!

Those are some really neat machines, congratulations!

It is a 15 clone. You could convert it to a treadle. Bobbin cases are readily available.
