Does the VS sew better or worse? I remember reading like back on page 156 of this thread :wink: that if you're sewing, stay away from the VS machines, they are noisy... etc. |

Okay I went to get the machine and I scored big time!!!! I got a really nice Eldridge "B" with all of its accessories and a nice cabinet with the coffin top. Now it will need lots of cleaning and I will repaint the irons and clean the pitman up real good (its wood) but this should be one of the nicer machines in my collection.
As far as the year I will have to decipher the serial for this one but I am going to say its going to be in the 1870's-1880's Oh and the decals are in super condition for its age and they are gorgeous!! I will take photos of it when I pull it out of the trunk tomorrow. I had to disassemble it to get ti in the trunk LOL! Billy |
