My Singer 15 did some free motion. (It is the biggest project I've tried on FM) Then To put it together I used a Singer 201.

Just a sneak peek. I will also be using a "plastic wonder" on this for the applique and binding. Piecing done on my White 1514. http://www.quiltingboard.com/vintage...y-t226579.html

I just got my grandmother's 1916 Davis Vertical Feed treadle. Was your machine previously owned by
a family member? I haven't made a quilt with it yet, but I am very pleased to have it.

I completely forgot to come back when I finished the doll quilt. Saila is very happy with her new quilt. I did everything for this one on my featherweight.

Miriam...stunning skirt (I want one!), Mrs Finch, that is one gorgeous applique, it looks great now....can't wait to see it finished and thrillhouse, the doll quilt is lovely, such beautiful fabrics, great choices. I am awed everyone....and so browned off I can't get to my machines....since I started back at work (which is supposedly part-time)...with courses and rostered hours and people leaving...I haven't quilted for about 3 months. I seriously need to factor in some quilting.

What a wonderfully encouraging thread. I'm a newbie member here as well as a newbie quilter living off the grid and have thus embraced the hand crank and treadle sewing machine.

I made a skirt with just plain fabric for the triangle piece, I used a pair of corduroy pants. I was 15 when I made mine, very popular in the 1970s.
