It's so nice to see pretty quilts; it brightens up the day!
Glenn, you did a very nice job with your quilt.
Darcy, your bunnies are too cute.
Irishrose, your quilts are all so cheery.
Sharon, It's nice that your group works on quilts for the soldiers and their families.
It's always enjoyable to see what folks create using their vintage machines. Thanks for sharing!

Scrappy Log Cabin quilt for a wounded soldier
I just finished the quilting and binding on the scrappy Log Cabin quilt today. It was pieced on my Singer 201K treadle and quilted with a Bernina 930; it has 227 different fabrics in the quilt. It will go to a wounded soldier or family member at Fort Hood Army base in Killeen,Texas. I'm one of the "Thank You Quilters", we make comfort quilts for wounded soldiers and their families.

Sharon, your quilt is fantastic!! I just love log cabin quilts and this one with all the different fabrics looks so comfy. I know the soldier that gets it will love it. It's a wonderful thing that you do these for the ones that have given so much.

What a lovely quilt. Thank you for your kindness of giving such a wonderful gift to a wounded soldier. You also will have a special star by your name in my heart. Ft Hood how I remember it well. I am a 1st Cav member myself.

Judy, Irishrose, you do such beautiful work, but I especially like the spirals! I haven't tried doing a spiral table runner, but that is on my list!

You're quite welcome,Skip and thank you for your service. Thank you everyone for your kind words.
I'm a Navy Brat and married a career Marine, so when the opportunity arose to make these quilts I felt I had to.

Absolutely agree! I love seeing everyone's machines, but seeing what they made with them makes it even more special. Unfortunately I can't share what I'm making because it's never a quilt (at the moment!) .... but one day........... *sigh*

Darcy, I just love those bunnies..... is there a pattern? I make a lot of baby quilts and would love to copy if you don't mind.
Irishrose, your quilts are wonderful.... and such a great gift for that injured soldier. She will be so proud to have your loving gesture wrapped around her.

those bunnies are from a book called "Grandma's Bunnies". Sorry, but copying them would be a copyright infringement.
