That's the good thing about forgetting - everything old is new again.

Now there's a machine that looks like it's ready to get to work.

No Miriam, dementia would be if you forgot how to work on them or why you would want to. Safe for now LOL.

Funny! I hope it isn't dementia as I have that problem too. Maybe we just have way more stuff than we need so it can get hidden. Old age helps too, which is one of my problems

Nice, it looks like a real workhorse. Weren't the Japanese machines with the tension on the side patterned after the Singer 15? (What some people call clones and what other people get upset hearing called clones.)

soman2 - your machine is beautiful. I had never heard of this brand and just this past week my niece sent me a picture of one just like yours (only not quite as pretty) and asked me if this would be a good machine for her to purchase. The price was really good so I sent her some questions to check it out. She already has my grandmothers Pfaff 1371 which is a workhorse so I did question her need. OK-- need is not a good word as I really don't "need" all the antique machines I own - and I kind of like this one she wrote about.

A website said they were a Singer clone but not sure which one. Would it be possible to give a bit more info on the Dressmaker so I can pass it along - or maybe send her the money and get it myself 😏😏

thanks,
Sandy in Mooresville, NC
