    CD,

    Thanks. I'm not in any hurry with this one. It's mine, part of my collection. I'll keep tinkering with it and trying to find information on it as time permits. If it can't be fixed I'll hunt up all the old style stitch length adjusting parts and put it back to original.

    Not knowledgeable on these so take it for what it's worth. If I were to guess at adjustment point, that linkage lever on the top, (last photo) would change function depending on how it's positioned. I can't make it out well, but is there a black dot on the underside, that is a setscrew? If not, what locks this arm in position, other than the pan head screw on the end of the shaft?

    Jim,

    There is a grove on one part with a corresponding ridge on the other. It can only be assembled one way. I forget which part has what, but that's the way of it.

    There is virtually no slack in any of the pivot points.

    WOW! I hit paydirt for a change. Did a Google search ( usually I find nothing ) and most of what came up was my posts and SteveH's posts here on QB, as well as some from Needlebar.
    But this thread by SteveH has a pic with a BIG clue: { http://www.quiltingboard.com/vintage...t-t219979.html }
    There is a picture of the roller assembly, it has an offset axle for adjustments.
    Now I just need to figure out how to get to it and which way to turn it and I think we can get this one fixed.

    Haha, I was MIA that last few days as I had a family situation, but hopefully you can figure it out as I would have suggested the same linkage adjustment you have already tried, or a feed dog adjustment.
