It's newer than my tastes from the pictures on the web. If you like it though, why not? $25 isn't a great deal of money if it doesn't work out.
I think you'll find most of here tend toward machines that are older than that one. I'm interested in what the others have to say.

By the pics it looks to be an 80s to 90s vintage. If so it will surely have plastic gears and stamped internal parts.
~And~, if it has never been used it could be gummed up and locked up tight. Or it might work. Who knows? Sounds like fun ...

There is a vender on eBay that appears to be parting out a white featherweight. I see a light, tension parts, etc. You might want to contact them and ask if they have the the plate you are looking for and get a price. The name is ctotoy
