Singer 127 from 1919
Have a question on how to remove the bulb, it's one of the big ones with the bump. Is it a bayonet or a threaded one? I was given the machine and have been cleaning it and quilting on it. Love the machine but want to save the bulb since it is original. I can post a picture if needed.
Thanks

Maybe a picture would help. From my understanding the one like a spot light ( https://www.worthpoint.com/worthoped...99k-1797069237 ) is screw in and the longer one ( http://yahoo.aleado.com/lot?auctionI...481#enlargeimg ) is a bayonet.

Here is my machine, it is like the first picture I think there is a snap ring but can't get it to release. The spot bulb does not want to turn, and there is not much surface to grip on the bulb.

dedemac I have not done this (yet) but the glass lens is held against the housing by a wavy spring washer. You push in just a bit and turn the lens part of a turn.and then you can access the bulb. be careful. this vid may be helpful, of course, unplugging is always a good idea. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MjYYwZoKUP4

Thank you, I did not have any manuals for the light, and wasn't sure which way to turn it or if I had to take it apart. I searched for instructions but probably did not have the correct search words.
