    kinda embarrassed by how simple it was and how long I procrastinated because I though it would be harder....

    You know it's a good job when the finished product looks like it's always been that way. Those look like they belong there.
    Are you going to put a piece of paper in the case documenting the replacement decals? I think 100 yrs from now some collector might be very confused.

    Should have thought of that myself. I'll hide glue laminate it to the bottom of the machine

    Miriam, I was -totally- kidding. :-)

    These sewing machines will certainly be running longer than we will, won't they!

    I like the expression my senior uncle uses when he buys a new fridge, furnace, etc. , "This one will see me out..."

    Steve,
    What process did you use to remove the decals? They really look nice! Just bought a 29-4 and there is so much oil on it that I must have rubbed too hard and silvered the decals. Now if I every get it clean and get to use it, I might just think about the decals.
