I've found getting decals on is the easiest part. It's the making sure they don't crack or bubble under the clear coat that can be problematic. I made my own decals. http://www.quiltingboard.com/vintage...e-t229598.html

Then I had a member here request a set, we agreed on price and I made her some and she never responded to my PM's and has since stopped posting here. Note to self. Get payment first before doing special orders.

I need to look for a set of decals for a Singer fiddle base. Off hand I can't remember what I thought it was (found it ready for trash pick up on the side of the road with a trash can....just the head...no cabinet). I think it had lived outside for a while. Maybe yard art.

Wow... just wow! That machine looks fabulous with the new decals. I didn't even know people made those. Gotta head off to eBay and check it out.

I used denatured alcohol. The stuff we say to NEVER use on decals... this is why. It will remove them in seconds with a little elbow grease.

I have asked him to consider doing the Singer 12 set... There are SO many blacked out ones out there...

Does denatured alcohol take the decals off of a current production Chinese handcrank, or have you tried it?

    Steve,

Your machine looks great. You did a fantastic job on those decals! Sometimes, you just have to re-furbish/refinish stuff! Great Job!
